Human Rights at risk

Amnesty International calls for the immediate and unconditional release of anyone held for his or her race, ethnic background or political opinion.

'We appeal to the commanders of the security forces in Fiji not to allow a repeat of the human rights violations in the context of the 1987 military coups, and to comply with the constitutional Bill of Rights of 1997 in their response to the situation.'
