Urgent Action good news: Unsafe refugee camps in Greece evacuated
The three refugee camps in the Elliniko area, Athens, were evacuated on 2 June. The majority of refugees and migrants still in the sites were transferred by bus to alternative camps.

Fernand Cello, a Malagasy investigative journalist, has had three charges which were related to his journalism work dropped. These charges were related to his journalism work. He is also now receiving the medical care he needs.

Urgent Action good news: Journalists cleared of criminal defamation in Timor-Leste
On 1 June, a Dili court cleared Raimundos Oki and Lourenco Vicente Martins of all charges against them. The two Timorese journalists were on trial on criminal “defamatory false information” charges filed by Timor-Leste’s Prime Minister in 2016.

Urgent Action: Torture survivor at risk of arbitrary detention in Russian Federation
Torture survivor, Murad Amriev, lodged a complaint against his torturers in Chechnya, and is currently at risk of being detained and escorted to Chechnya were he would be at risk of torture or other ill-treatment.

Urgent Action update: Saudi Arabian activist held incommunicado
Saudi Arabian human rights defender Mohammad al-Otaibi has been detained incommunicado in Saudi Arabia since 28 May, after he was deported from Qatar. He is a prisoner of conscience and at risk of torture and other ill-treatment.
