Are you interested in Amnesty International UK’s Section’s governance? We are seeking three Amnesty members to Chair the Working Parties at the 2020 Annual General Meeting.
The Working Party Chair is required to facilitate debate, maintain order, call a vote, and keep the Working Party to time.
The Working Party Chair is supported by a Rules Advisor who will rule on procedure and a Secretary who will note the results. The Working Parties can become heated and it is important for you to be able to keep good order, without stifling debate.
Appointed candidates will need to become familiar with the resolutions for that Working Party, the Guidelines for Working Parties and Standing Orders.
You can read more about the Working Party Chair attached.
There are three places available for appointment at the 2020 AGM.
We value a diverse workforce and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
Please contact Nominations Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in this role and we will contact you when the position becomes available.
We are Amnesty International UK. We work to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied.
As a global movement of over 7 million people, Amnesty International is the world's largest grassroots human rights organisation.
We investigate and expose abuses, educate and mobilise the public, and help transform societies to create a safer, more just world. We received the Nobel Peace Prize for our life-saving work.
