Are you interested in Amnesty International UK’s Section’s governance? In 2021 we are seeking three Amnesty members to Chair the Working Parties at the 2021 Annual General Meeting.

The Working Party Chair is required to facilitate debate, maintain order, call a vote, and keep the Working Party to time.

The Working Party Chair is supported by a Rules Advisor who will rule on procedure and a Secretary who will note the results. The Working Parties can become heated and it is important for you to be able to keep good order, without stifling debate.

Appointed candidates will need to become familiar with the resolutions for that Working Party, the Guidelines for Working Parties and Standing Orders.

There are three places available for appointment at the 2021 AGM.

Applications for this role are now open. Please download the combined role description and nomination form below. Return your completed nomination form to returningofficer@amnesty.org.uk. Please contact the returning officer should you have any questions regarding your application.

Amnesty International UK values diversity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
