Are you interested in Amnesty International UK’s Section’s governance? In 2021 we will be seeking three Amnesty members to Chair the Working Parties at the 2021 Annual General Meeting.

The Working Party Chair is required to facilitate debate, maintain order, call a vote, and keep the Working Party to time.

The Working Party Chair is supported by a Rules Advisor who will rule on procedure and a Secretary who will note the results. The Working Parties can become heated and it is important for you to be able to keep good order, without stifling debate.

Appointed candidates will need to become familiar with the resolutions for that Working Party, the Guidelines for Working Parties and Standing Orders.

There are three places available for appointment at the 2021 AGM.

Applications for this role for 2020 are now closed. Please contact the Returning Officer at if you are interested in this role and let us know if you are happy for us to contact you when the position becomes available for the 2021 AGM.

Amnesty International UK values diversity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
