Amnesty International UK wants to inspire and mobilise more people with its message of freedom, justice and equality. To do this, we are seeking a Trust Funding Lead who will secure and manage significant levels of income from UK-based trusts and foundations for Amnesty International’s work, both in the UK and globally
About the role
You will research, identify and develop a pipeline of new funding opportunities that correspond to the funding needs prioritised within the Major Gifts Fundraising Plan.
You will cultivate and consolidate robust relationships with the trusts and foundations in your portfolio as well as with colleagues across the organisation and wider international movement in order to draft compelling funding proposals and accurate reports including complex financial information.
You will ensure the effective and efficient management of income and update relevant organisational and team databases and systems when necessary.
You will stay abreast of developments and trends within the sector including regulatory and legal requirements that are relevant to your role, in order to carry out your responsibilities to the best of your ability.
You will have considerable experience of successfully securing and/or managing grants from a broad range of trusts and foundations for large-scale programmes of work with five-six figure budgets.
You will have the ability to use your excellent communication skills to prepare compelling funding proposals and accurate reports for donors, including complex financial information.
Your accomplished interpersonal skills will enable you to develop strong relationships across the team, organisation and movement in order to facilitate your work.
Your strong organisational skills will enable you to manage and prioritise a demanding workload and to work to tight and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
