We lead the way in tackling global human rights challenges. But we always want to do more. Join us in this role and play a vital part in making a real difference.
About the role
You’ll provide administrative and PA support to our Director Supporter Campaigning and Communications – and when required, other members of our Senior Management Team (SMT) – coordinating and documenting critical meetings and intuitively understanding their needs to ensure they can focus on their days effortlessly. Diary and travel arrangements, correspondence, report compilation, filing and updating areas of our intranet will all fall to you. You will also act as a point of contact to external organisations, as well as undertake ad-hoc requests as they arise and deal with conflicting priorities with ease. As someone who’s efficient and organised, you will make improvements to our systems and processes as a matter of course.
You’re a professional administrator / PA, with significant experience of dealing with people at a senior level. Experience of accurate minute-taking, with quick turnaround and prowess in the Microsoft Office suite, are both essential, as is diplomacy and discretion. Unflappable, you are superbly organised and your attention to detail is second-to-none. Able to juggle tasks fluidly, you seize the initiative and are willing to be flexible as you understand that sometimes meetings at this level have to take place out of hours and, rarely, at weekends (these will be diarised in advance). Any experience of dealing with volunteers and using CMS would be beneficial, but are not prerequisites.
Our aim is simple: an end to human rights abuses. Independent, international and influential, we campaign for justice, freedom and truth wherever they’re denied. Already our network of over three million members and supporters is making a difference in 150 countries. And whether we’re applying pressure through powerful research or direct lobbying, mass demonstrations or online campaigning, we’re all inspired by hope for a better world. One where human rights are respected and protected by everyone, everywhere.
