We are looking to recruit volunteers to join brand new bookshop on Unthank Road in Norwich. Our charity bookshops around the country raise vital funds for Amnesty's work campaigning for human rights. Staffed by volunteers and selling stock donated locally, Amnesty bookshops are welcoming and friendly hubs in their communities.

About the role

Volunteering in one of our bookshops is a great way to support Amnesty and be involved in the exciting work that our bookshops do. Volunteering in an Amnesty bookshop can involve serving customers, sorting donations of books, writing social media posts, creating displays, collecting donations or organising events.

Volunteering can be a fun way to gain new skills, meet people or just spend time with thousands of books! We offer full training, all you need is enthusiasm and commitment.

About you

This role would suit someone with a passion for books who has a few hours a week to give to Amnesty. Most people who volunteer for us do one or two shifts a week. Our shifts are usually four hours long and the time usually flies by. If you are interested in books and Human Rights it is a rewarding and enjoyable place to spend a few hours. No training or prior qualifications are necessary to volunteer. We are more than happy to discuss any requirements or questions you might have - we'll always do what we can to make volunteering as accessible as possible. We offer up to £8 per day travel expenses.

Amnesty International values a diverse workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
