Peaceful Palestinian protesters have been attacked by Israeli security forces with tear gas, rubber bullets and stun grenades. Bystanders and worshippers praying in the Al-Aqsa mosque were also targeted.
Hundreds of Palestinians have been injured. The attacks aim to shut down protests against unlawful forced evictions in occupied East Jerusalem, to make way for Israeli settlers.
