How you can help
FEAR, HARASSMENT, DEPRIVATION AND ANNEXATION
Palestinians In the occupied West Bank are forced to live in the worst conditions. They live in fear of being forcibly evicted from their homes. They are harassed and hounded by local settlers and the military. And they are deprived of adequate health care and clean water.
These dreadful conditions are partly funded by millions of pounds in global income. Israel makes this money by selling oranges, dates, spring water and halva desserts and other goods produced in the illegal settlements.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is planning to forcibly take over a third of the West Bank and the Jordan Valley. The annexation plan, like all the settlements, is illegal under international law. It will force hundreds of thousands of Palestinian families to live under what dozens of UN experts have called a ‘21st century apartheid’. Although currently delayed, it remains imminent. But there is still time to stop it in its tracks if we act now.
Will you help Amnesty International UK’s Ban Settlement Goods Campaign and calls on the UK government to ban the import of all goods produced in illegal Israeli settlements in line with its international legal obligations. This would help put an end to the multimillion-pound profits that are fuelling mass human rights violations against Palestinians.
