Tibetan film makers

Two Tibetans have made a film Leaving Fear Behind including interviews with more than 100 Tibetans. They asked people for their views on the Dalai Lama, the Olympics in Beijing and the presence of the Chinese in Tibet.  The two film-makers were arrested and detained.  I suppose that they made some basic mistakes like forgetting to edit out anything positive about the Dalai Lama or they were not entirely grateful for the Chinese occupation of Tibet.

Details from Free Tibet Campaign with suggested actions of contacting the Chinese and  French embassies.  France has the current EU presidency and will host the EU-China human rights dialogue later this year.

Update, January 2010:  One of the film-makers was sentenced to six years in prison.
