Rainbow of films and art to make you think in Shropshire

Sorry that I cannot write this entry in a rainbow of colours.  If you are in or near Shrewsbury you may like to know about the Rainbow Film Festival, Shropshire's gay and lesbian film week. It is the third year of the festival and there will be seven films.

The Rainbow Film Festival runs from  28 November to 4 December 2008 at the Old Market Hall, a small cinema that gives a choice of more interesting, unusual and foreign films.

Also there is Same Difference, an exhibition in Shrewsbury until the end of October 2008.  Same Difference shows thought provoking multi-media art by Judy Howells.  She was inspired by the experiences of marginalised young people in rural Wales.  The exhibition celebrates diversity and challenges the attitudes that can lead to bullying and discrimination.
