Investigate the attacks properly and end the blockade of Gaza

Avaaz have a petition calling for an international investigation into the attacks on the fleet of ships carrying aid for Gaza and for an end to the blockade. The petition reached 200 000 within 24 hours and more than 400 000 by  6 June 2010.  Avaaz is an international campaign organisation and signatories of this petition include people from many countries, including some from Israel.

Amnesty UK have an e-mail action to urge the Foreign Secretary, William Hague, to call for an international investigation into the attack and killings.  You can change the suggested wording and it is better to use your own words if you can.

Israel claims that they need the blockade to prevent weapons reaching Gaza but the world's attention is being drawn to the plight of the people of Gaza and their human rights.  How much aid does Israel allow in?  What materials are allowed and what are prohibited?  The UN says that the aid allowed through is not nearly enough. What about stopping building materials that are much needed in Gaza after the destruction of earlier attacks by Israeli forces?  Surely international involvement is needed in checking the supplies to make sure that they are for humanitarian aid and rebuilding.
