BAE Al Yamamah arms deal with Saudi Arabia

A Judicial Review is to be completed  soon of the government's decision to stop the Serious Fraud Office investigating the Al Yamamah arms deal. The announcement of the decision is expected on Thursday 10 April 2008.  The Campaign Against the Arms Trade (CAAT) and The Corner House brought the legal action to demand the review.

Update, 11 April 2008:  The decision to drop the inquiry has now been ruled unlawful as Patrick says in his comment below.  The Guardian today says: "Ministers under pressure to reopen BAE corruption probe".

Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia is quite shameless about the amount he received.  Well we are only talking about an airbus and £1 billion.
