42 days sentenced by Lords
That's the verdict given by long-time Westminster-watcher Brian Walker over at Slugger O'Toole, full of choice quotes from the good Lords, but rounded off with this assessment from Walker:
"It’s very hard to see how 42 days can survive this onslaught. Unless any deal is far more sweeping than anything which may or may not have been dangled before the DUP."
As previously predicted here, it was good to see some Northern Irish Unionist peers playing their part in the guilty verdict for the government, making up a little perhaps for the ten votes given to Brown in the Commons vote last month.
