Update: In August 2025, Benjamin Netanyahu and his government announced a military offensive to seize control of Gaza City. Despite widespread international criticism of these plans, Israeli forces have started bombarding the city.
The continued atrocities and withholding of aid by Israeli authorities have put a ceasefire deal in jeopardy, meaning more lives will be shattered, ripped apart and upended in Gaza, Israel and the wider Occupied Paletinian Territory.
These attacks also put the lives of the remaining Israeli hostages believed to be alive at risk. This is a cruel blow for the hostages and Palestinian detainees, as well as for their families desperately calling for their release.
On 2 March 2025, the Israeli government re-imposed a total siege on Gaza, blocking the entry of all humanitarian aid, medicine, and commercial supplies, including fuel and food, in flagrant violation of international law.
Palestinians are enduring an engineered famine. They're having to choose between death by starvation or gunfire while trying to gain access to the limited aid.
The world cannot stand by and allow the Israeli military to continue inflicting staggering levels of death and suffering on Palestinians in Gaza. With Israeli leaders threatening more atrocities and months of destruction - we need to act fast.
States, like the UK, must uphold their legal obligations to prevent and punish genocide, and to ensure respect for international humanitarian law. They must pressure Israel to end its attacks and to facilitate the unconditional and unhindered entry of humanitarian aid.
Urge the UK government to call for an immediate restart of an enduring and permanent ceasefire, an end to Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, and the dismantling of its system of apartheid and unlawful occupation of Palestinian territory now.
