Gender justice
We believe in equality and equity between women, men, LGBTI+, and non-binary people in all spheres of life.
Gender justice seeks to address the systems that perpetuate discrimination and oppression based on gender. It seeks to create a society where everyone, regardless of gender identity, can live free from violence, exclusion, and inequity.
Key issues
Women's rights
Women and girls experience violence and discrimination based on their sex and gender. When governments fail to protect them, Amnesty International helps to ensure that they can live in dignity, safety, and freedom.
LGBTI+ rights
It is a crime to be gay, lesbian or bisexual in at least 67 countries today. From the UK to Uganda, we're working to end discrimination. Amnesty International stands up for people around the world who are punished for their sexuality.
Reproductive rights
Making decisions about our own health, body and sexual life is a basic human right. Yet people are bullied, discriminated against and arrested for making choices about their bodies. Join us in defending sexual and reproductive rights.
Sex workers' rights
Sex workers face violence, discrimination and abuse all around the world. Amnesty advocates for the decriminalisation of sex work to improve safety, strengthen oversight and ensure sex workers’ human rights are protected.
