Cycle London to Brighton
Date: Sunday 13th September 2020
Distance: 54 miles (87km)
Minimum fundraising target: £150
Registration fee: £50
Join us on this spectacular cycle from Clapham Common in London, to Madeira Drive on the buzzing Brighton seafront.
Once out of London, competitors will mainly cycle along quiet country lanes passing through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath before taking on the challenge that is Ditchling Beacon – a mile long climb to the top of the South Downs where you will be rewarded with amazing views and a water break.
From here, you will cycle downhill the last few miles onto Brighton seafront.
On your way, stop at the picturesque village of Turners Hill for lunch, stay hydrated at water stops along the route of this challenging cycle ride and take advantage of the stationary and roaming mechanical support to keep you on course to the finish line.
No need to be looking at your map - the route is fully sign-posted so that you can enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside. It is the perfect challenge for solo riders looking to get in some extra miles, beginner cyclists taking on their first big challenge or corporate groups looking for a team cycle.
