Newcastle

We may be tucked away, but this peaceful oasis has been serving the local community for over a decade and is very much on the map for book lovers in the area. Do come along and browse the bookshelves, constantly changing as new donations come in. Expect to find a warm and friendly welcome from our knowledgeable volunteer team, and fantastic second-hand books.

Opening hours:

Monday-Saturday: 11.00am - 5.00pm
Sunday: 12.00pm - 4.00pm

We receive regular donations of both new and second-hand books, keeping our shelves constantly refreshed with exciting new and some not-so-new (and a few rare) titles! We have an eclectic mix of non-fiction both old and current, including a creative writing section, as well as an impressive history and political selection. If it's something less taxing you want, our bays of contemporary fiction are bursting with titles sure to please your taste.

We also have a great range of greetings cards all year, and ethically sourced gifts especially at Christmas.

If you’d like to volunteer with us we would love to hear from you. Simply click here for details. And if you’re thinking of donating to us, please refer to the donation section below.
