Joint Amnesty UK and PRCBC submission to the Public Accounts Committee on Government services: identifying costs and generating income

In this joint submission, Amnesty UK and PRCBC identify the error of principle behind charging above-cost fees for the registration of people's right to British citizenship.

The submission explains the rights to British citizenship that are affected by these fees, how those rights are affected, and the wider implications of that. It makes six recommendations for reform.

The Committee's inquiry was originally entitled 'Government fees, charges and levies'.
