prominent Uighur businesswoman arbitrarily detained

Rebiya Kadeer, a well known Uighur businesswoman detained last week in the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region (XUAR), is being held for ìproviding information to foreignersîor ìpeople outside the bordersî, according to information which reached her family at the weekend, Amnesty International said today.
