In response to revelations that Palantir lobbied ministers to maintain a £330m NHS data contract, Kristyan Benedict, Amnesty International UK’s Crisis Response Manager, said:

“Palantir’s tools are being used by the Israeli military as they commit genocide against Palestinians in occupied Gaza. Ministers must recognise that any company profiting from widespread human rights violations has no place in our NHS.

"The NHS constitution states it belongs to the people, underpinned by core values of compassionate care, dignity and humanity. Those principles must apply not only to doctors and nurses, but also to the companies the NHS chooses to contract with using taxpayers' money.

"This government faces a clear choice: uphold the values the NHS was built on or prioritise the profits of companies like Palantir.”
