Toolkit: Know your rights and claim them
Overview
This toolkit, developed by Amnesty International UK, is an empowering resource designed for educators, activists, and young people aged 12–17 to explore, understand, and advocate for child rights.
Rooted in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the toolkit uses participatory, inclusive activities to foster critical thinking, solidarity, and action, covering fundamental rights, real-world challenges, and the impact of digital technology on children’s lives.
Through practical exercises, case studies, and creative projects, it encourages children to recognise their own agency, celebrate diversity, confront discrimination, and take meaningful steps to claim and defend their rights to build the foundations for a more just, rights-respecting society.
