Response to Home Office consultation on use of force against children

On 5 March 2026, the Home Office opened a 'targeted' consultation on its proposal to extend the use of force against children in its conduct of enforced removals of families. This is Amnesty UK's response to that consultation. It explains our objections to the proposed extension of the department's use of force and provides further analysis and information concerning the use of force in removals and deportations.
