Joint AIUK and PRCBC submission to Justice Committee inquiry on Children in the Secure Estate
Overview
This joint AIUK and PRCBC submission to the Justice Committee draws attention to the particular needs, rights and injustices suffered by British children and young people in the criminal justice system, whose citizenship rights have been neglected.
It draws particular attention to the effect of a requirement that children as young as 10 years of age, including many children born in the UK, show themselves to be of 'good character' for their rights to British citizenship to be registered.
