Arms IS DAMAGING GOOD PROGRESS ON ETHICAL FOREIGN POLICY

In the past two years the Government has ìmade genuine and active commitment to human rights in a number of areasî according to Amnesty International UKís second annual audit of the Governmentís ethical foreign policy, published today (23 September). However, the human rights organisation expresses deep concerns about a lack of joined up government, saying that the DTI in particular, is failing to meet its responsibility to promote trade in a manner which is not harmful to human rights.
