Prabagaran Srivijayan, a Malaysian national was executed at dawn on 14 July 2017 at Changi Prison, in Singapore. Contrary to international standards, he was sentenced to the mandatory death penalty in 2012 for a drug related offence.

Urgent Action: Amendments threatening rights in Poland must be stopped
Two legislative amendments that would undermine the right to an effective remedy and the right to a fair trial have been adopted by the Polish Parliament on 15 July. It is now in the hands of the President to refuse to sign these amendments.
