When and where we meet

We do not have regular group meetings. Our Saudi Arabia Sub Group meets 10 times a year, details variable, and has followers from elsewhere in the UK.

Other events

Our main focus is Saudi Arabia but we are happy to help followers develop their own specific human rights interests. We run actions at Grey's Monument, Newcastle on significant dates relating to key cases, notably Abdulrahman al-Sadhan and Manahel al-Otaibi. Further key Saudi issues are the use of the death penalty and the abuse of foreign workers. Lat year we also attended the NoToHassockfield national demo and ran a meeting on China. In previous years we attended Northern Pride but the costs have become unsustainable. This year we want to trial a letter writing event for individuals at risk worldwide in addition to participating again in the Amnesty International Write for Rights event in December.
