Welcome to the Minehead Amnesty local group page.
Over the past year, we have held an activity of some sort most months. These have included letter writing sessions in a local café, talks on current campaigns, awareness-raising stalls at village fetes, and AmnesTeas. In 2025, we raised £1,000 over the year to send to AIUK. We have continued with these types of activities in 2026 and we've had good coverage in the local newspaper, raising Amnesty’s profile in the local community. Our AmnesTea in June 2026, raised £570 for Amnesty and was attended by our local MP. We have supported webinars hosted by the new Southwest Regional Network and have taken part in regional and national conferences.
