Bill of Rights campaign goes online

The Human Rights Consortium launched its new website today, just in time for a crucial twelve months in the long-running campaign for a Northern Ireland Bill of Rights.

I spoke briefly at the launch event for the new site at Revelations internet cafe on Belfast's Great Victoria Street. About twenty member organisations were represented at the event.

As well as serving as a valuable information resource for campaigners, the site also enables members of the public to email their local MLAs via a Google Map function which I haven't seen used elsewhere for the purpose.

The site can be found at www.billofrightsni.org.
