Major Funding Partnerships Directorate Prospect Engagement & Meeting Generation Consultancy
Anticipated start date: August 2026
Duration of contract: 12 weeks
Who We Are
As a global movement of over ten million people, Amnesty International is the world’s largest grassroots human rights organisation. At Amnesty International UK (AIUK), we investigate and uncover human rights violations, hold governments and institutions accountable, and support those whose rights are under threat. By mobilising public support and working in partnership with organisations and initiatives that share our values, we create long-term systemic change for the most vulnerable among us.
The Major Funding Partnerships Directorate seeks to inspire and engage companies, trusts, foundations, institutions and philanthropists to financially support Amnesty International’s vital human rights work in the UK and internationally. The Directorate is pursuing a dynamic, bold and ambitious fundraising strategy for 2025–2030.
The Project
We are seeking an agency or consultancy to support our philanthropy and corporate partnerships team in generating high-quality prospect meetings. This role is focused on outreach and engagement: identifying and securing introductory conversations between AIUK’s fundraising team and:
- High net worth individuals (HNWIs) with a potential philanthropic interest in human rights
- Business leaders and senior executives with an interest in corporate partnership with AIUK
The successful agency will work closely with our team to understand our mission and values, identify well-matched prospects, and use their networks and expertise to open doors and secure meetings that our team will then develop into meaningful donor and partner relationships.
Objectives of the Assignment
The primary objectives of the assignment are:
- To research and identify prospective HNWIs and corporate partners well-matched to AIUK’s mission and funding priorities.
- To conduct targeted outreach and engagement on behalf of, or in close collaboration with, the Major Funding Partnerships team to secure introductory meetings.
- To build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects, providing regular reporting on outreach activity, conversion rates and meeting outcomes.
- To develop and refine outreach messaging and materials in collaboration with our team, ensuring alignment with AIUK’s brand, values and communications guidelines.
- To advise on best practice in prospect engagement for both philanthropic and corporate audiences in the human rights and wider charity sector.
What We Need
A consultant or agency able to demonstrate the following:
- A proven track record of generating high-quality meetings and introductions with HNWIs and/or senior business leaders on behalf of third-sector or comparable organisations.
- Established networks within relevant philanthropic and/or corporate communities in the UK.
- Experience in prospect research, identification and qualification - including the ability to assess alignment with mission and values.
- Adherence to GDPR and Amnesty's due diligence procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent Amnesty UK professionally and persuasively in outreach.
- Familiarity with the fundraising landscape for human rights, social justice or advocacy organisations (desirable but not essential).
- A competitive fee structure — please include your day rate or project-based pricing and a summary of your terms and conditions.
Submission Details
Please send us a short overview of why your agency or consultancy is well-suited to this role. In your proposal (no more than 2 pages) please address each of the points listed under “What We Need” above, providing relevant examples of previous work where possible.
Submissions should be sent to [email protected] by the closing date above.
Considerations
We will consider applications from individuals or firms based anywhere in the world, but please do get in touch before submitting if you are based outside the UK as there may be data protection and taxation considerations.
The successful consultant or agency will be required to enter a contractual arrangement for a supply of services. This will not constitute employment for tax purposes, and the agency, consultant or freelancer will not be entitled to our employee terms and conditions.
