Board elections 2026

Outcome of Board elections

At the Annual General Meeting on 27–28 June 2026, the Returning Officer announced that the following candidates had been successful in the Amnesty International UK Section Board elections for the year 2026:

  • Clara Candat-Bazile (elected unopposed to a seat reserved for country coordinators)
  • Ramazan Jumazada (elected in the Board ballot to an unreserved seat)
  • Susan Kurr (elected in the Board ballot to an unreserved seat)

Congratulations to the above candidates, who are elected to a three-year term-of-office.

The Board would like to thank Richard Kotter and Richard Wild for their candidacy and all of the members who voted in the elections.

Interested in standing for election to the Board?

To stand for election to the Board, candidates must have been a member of Amnesty International UK Section for six months prior to the nominations deadline.

Next year we will be seeking candidates for the following:

  • One unreserved seat
  • One seat reserved for a member aged 16 to 17 years
  • Two seats reserved for nomination by Networks
  • One seat reserved for nomination by a local group

Candidates will need to have been a member for six months prior to the nominations deadline (likely to be in February). A timeline and further details on how to stand will be posted in the autumn (or are available on request from [email protected]).
