Lesson plan and resources: Youth Awards Young Human Rights Reporter

What are human rights and how can young people defend and promote human rights through writing?

This lesson is designed to help students answer these questions by exploring human rights journalism. The activities in this lesson plan can be used to prepare students to enter the Young Human Rights Reporter category of the Amnesty International Youth Awards.

The Youth Awards are open to students aged 7-19 and are run by Amnesty in partnership with Times Educational Supplement (TES).
