Raffle terms and conditions

  1. The purchase of one raffle ticket entitles the player to one chance in the relevant raffle draw. All tickets will be the same price. (Currently £2)
  2. This raffle is open to residents of mainland Great Britain (this excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands)
  3. Underage gambling is an offence
  4. UK law states that it is an offence for raffle tickets to be sold to, by or on behalf of a person under 16 years of age. Amnesty International’s rules however state that players must be 18 or over to enter our raffle.Therefore, If a ticket is sold to, by, or bought on behalf of a person under the age of 18 they will be exempt from the raffle and will not be awarded any prize
  5. Employees of Amnesty International UK who work on the production of the raffle, and members of their households, are ineligible to enter this raffle. Any tickets bought in the name of such Amnesty International
  6. UK employees or members of their households will be rejected from the draw and considered as donations to Amnesty International
  7. Monies raised by this raffle will support the work of Amnesty International (UK Section) Charitable Trust, Registered Charity No 1051681
  8. Payment for participation in the raffle can be made by cheque payable to ‘Amnesty International (UK Section) Charitable Trust’, credit/debit card (excluding American Express/Electron/Solo), postal order or cash. We discourage sending cash in the post as this is insecure. We cannot accept CAF payments for raffle tickets and all CAF payments will be treated as donations.
  9. Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw when the whole payment is received
  10. Amnesty International UK accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, damaged, illegible, or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified
  11. Any ticket payments received after the draw will be considered as donations to Amnesty International (UK Section) Charitable Trust
  12. Winning raffle tickets will be drawn randomly. The first ticket drawn will win the first prize, the second ticket drawn will win the second prize, this process will continue until all prizes have been allocated
  13. The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into
  14. Winners will be notified by post, email or telephone as soon as possible after the draw date. Please keep the ticket number as proof of purchase
  15. A list of winners will be published at www.amnesty.org.uk/raffle. Names of winners and results of the raffle will be available on request to raffletickets@amnesty.org.uk
  16. Where Amnesty International UK is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for six months following Amnesty International’s first attempt to notify the prize-winner, Amnesty International may apply the prize as it sees fit, including by re-offering the prize in future raffles
  17. All winners are required to co-operate with Amnesty International UK’s requirement to publish their win as and where deemed appropriate, and to provide proof of age when requested
  18. Amnesty International (UK Section) Charitable Trust is registered with the Gambling Commission to operate this raffle, licence number are 004969-N-100270-011 and 000-004969-R-326836-001. This licence is issued under the Gambling Act 2005. Registered licence holders are: Joanna Dunstan and Gráinne Callan

  23. In the event of an error, howsoever caused, whether a printing error or otherwise and whether obvious or otherwise, which affects the raffle in any way, the organisers reserve the right to fairly administer the raffle as though the error had not occurred. Where the organisers deem it appropriate and/or feasible Amnesty International will notify entrants of the error
  24. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in the disqualification of the entry. Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion
