Oxfam's work in Yemen
Speaking in April 2018, the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said "Yemen is the world's worst humanitarian crisis" and little has happened since to change that view; rather things are worsening with a real threat of famine adding to the already desperate situation.
So we are particularly pleased to be hosting an open meeting with guest speaker, Awssan Kamal, from the Rights in Crisis team at Oxfam, who will be talking to us about Oxfam's work in Yemen. Awssan will provide an update on the situation on the ground for NGOs and aid agencies and explain some of the challenges which Oxfam faces in trying alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Please join us in Chipping Norton's Lower Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday 13th June. Free entry - and no need to book. Everyone welcome.
