Are you interested in Amnesty International UK’s Section’s governance? Do you have an interest in elections and AGMs voting procedures? We are looking for a Deputy Returning Officer to assist the Returning Officer in this important role, and to take on the role of the future Returning Officer 
The successful candidate would be assisting the current Returning Officer to coordinate Amnesty International UK Section's Board elections and the governance role elections and voting on the resolutions at the Annual General Meeting. 

The expected length of term with for this role will be 1 year from July 2019 to June 2020. There is an expectation (all being well) that the successful candidate for the Deputy Returning Officer role will subsequently be appointed as Returning Officer from June 2020 - June 2023. This means that the role is essentially a four year-role, including a one-year training period. The successful candidate will receive a formal induction and will be supervised throughout their time with us.
