Kenneth Williams faces execution on Thursday 27 April. He is the last prisoner in the assembly line of executions that Arkansas state authorities scheduled, before the state's supply of a drug used in lethal injections expires at the end of this month. Three men of eight planned for execution have so far been executed, while four have been given a stay. There is still time for authorities to stay Williams' execution.

The waning supply of execution drugs is no reason for Arkansas to restart executions, after not executing anyone for 12 years. The death penalty simply has no place in a modern justice system. Email the governor and ask him to call off the executions.
