On 11th October we had our annual Street Collection. A huge thank you to everyone who collected, donated or counted yesterday. We raised over £770.00, which is marvellous. A particular cheer for Franko - he nagged us into participating, left home at 6.30, spent the day hanging around Woking in the cold & didn't get home until late evening. He also collected the most!
Our next fund-raising activity is a Barn Dance, and the first planning meeting will be at 8pm on Friday 17th October. Contact Ruth if interested, everyone is welcome.
Our next meeting is at 8pm on Monday 3rd November. We'll be following up the talk by Mama Rhobi on FGM with a look the "My Body, My Rights" campaign.
There will be a debate on "Is the UN still relevant today?" on Saturday 25 October at Christ Church Gallery from 11am to 12.30pm. That's the church in Woking Town Square.
Hope to see you soon at least one of these events.
