April meeting

On Monday April 5th at 7.30pm Keith will be chairing and hosting our monthly meeting. Keith will be introducing Sue Crosfield, who will speak to us about her work as an ecumenical accompanier in Palestine. A Zoom link will be emailed out a day or two beforehand, please contact us if you'd like to receive it.

The Woking Zoom quiz had 68 participants and net donations of £356.04. Thanks to all for making it such a success. There is a possibility that we'll repeat the exercise towards Christmas.

Peter, Keith and Ruth attended a meeting of Amnesty activists to discuss what can be done locally about resistance to the abolition/replacement of the Human Rights Act which we in Amnesty believe has been a force for good. We'll keep you posted on the upshot of the recommendations.

There is disturbing news coming from China about the the treatment of the Ighur population and Steph Mcquire will be chairing and hosting our May meeting to which Steph is bringing Nabila Kahn to speak to us on the harrrowing conditions that the Ighur people are suffering.
