Wandsworth Amnesty has adopted the case of the Displaced People of Tawargha (aka Tawergha, Tawurga, تاورغا). Some Tawargha residents fought for Muammar Gaddafi and took part in the attack on Misratah. Over 30,000 people have been moved away from their home town. The town has been destroyed. Tawarghans live in camps and are subject to violence and racial abuse.
Actions include appeals to the current government and petitions seeking an end to violence and harassment.
