On Saturday 5 October we will be holding our annual embassy crawl. The theme this year is a campaign against female genital mutilation (FGM).
This is a subject that has been highlighted in the London press quite a bit recently and is one of the most horrific forms of human rights abuses. In the next decade 30 million children are at risk of becoming victims of this dangerous practice.
Please show your support of the cause by joining us. We meet at 11am at Embankment Station (Riverside Entrance), and will visit 8 embassies where the practice is most prevalent. We will stop for lunch at the Lido Café Bar in Hyde Park. Further information can be found in the attached flyer. We have speakers who will join us on the day and we will deliver a letter to each embassy calling on them to take steps to eradicate FGM.
See you there!
