Write for Rights Campaign

On Monday 12 December members of the group asked people in Solihull town centre to join in the Amnesty Write for Rights Campaign and send a message of hope to the two cases which the group had selected from this year's campaign.

We were based in the Manor House in Solihull High Street from 10:30 until 14:30. We had a display set up which explained how the Write for Rights campaign works and we supplied the greetings cards and paid the postage.

We approached members of the public and asked if they would write a message of hope or goodwill on the greetings card and outlined how the campaign worked. We were pleasantly surprised at how many people were willing to take part and collected in excess of 100 signatures and introduced Amnesty International to many more .

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO GROUP MEETING ON 19 DECEMBER - THE MEMBERS OF SOLIHULL AMNESTY GROUP AND FRIENDS OF AMNESTY ARE MEETING FOR A CHRISTMAS SOCIAL WITH A GLASS OF WINE AND PLENTY OF GOOD FOOD.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU
