Amnesty International UK Conference and AGM - Oxford Pre-conference Meeting
The annual Amnesty International UK National Conference and AGM is taking place at the University of Warwick over the weekend of the 18th-19th April.
As usual the Oxford City Amnesty group will be sending a delegation of activits to attend, and this year the group is proposing a resolution on the subject of Asylum Detention in the UK. The delegation will be representing the views of the Oxford City group on the voting of the resolutions that will be tabled over the course of the weekend which are publiched in the AGM booklet (see link on the right). The resolution proposed by the Oxford Amnesty group is listed as resolution C2.
We would like to give members the opportunity to dicsuss and express their views on any of the resolutions. A meeting is planned on Wednesday 15th April at 6:00pm at the University Club on Mansfield Road to discuss the resolutions. If you wish to attend please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively if you cannot attend the meeting but would still like your voice to be heard, please email your position on any of the resolutions and we will ensure that your voice is taken into consideration when voting takes place.
