This year Nottingham Amnesty has a few events for Refugee Week.

Refugee Week launch - Saturday 17 June, 1-4pm
Nottingham Contemporary
We've a stall with stickers, balloons and refugee actions to sign.
Voices of Experience - Wednesday 21 June, 7pm
Nottingham Writers' Studio, 25 Hockley Lane, NG1 1FH
Refugees from Eritrea and Syria will speak alongside workers from refugee support organisations.
A great opportunity to hear first hand about why someone might leave their homeland, their difficult journey to reach safety, and challenges faced once in the UK.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions anonymously towards the end of the event.

Asylum Monologues - Thursday 29 June, 6pm show and 8pm show
The television workshop, Richmond House, Canal Street, NG1 7EG
Two performances of Asylum Monologues by the television workshop, using scripts from Fire and Ice.
First hand accounts of the UK's asylum system in the words of the people who have experienced it.
Free. Suggested donation £5.
