About this group

Welcome to the North Herts Group of Amnesty International!

We are a group of local people committed to working together to promote the cause of human rights and take action when these rights are being abused.

You might want to read why people joined our group, or join our mailing list.

Our group focuses specifically on the Peace Community of San José de Apartadó, and the group's prisoner of conscience is Khalid M’touq (Syria).

We do this through

• raising awareness through public meetings and stalls at local events

• letter-writing in support of victims of human rights abuse

• fundraising for Amnesty International

We meet on the third Wednesday of each month (apart from August and December) , from 19:30 onwards.
Currently, our venue changes quite a bit, but we always welcome more members so please contact us for more information about the group and our meetings.
