The MK Amnesty group atended the theatre production of a Slave's Story on the 5TH of November.

Nearly 300 years ago, a young bride to be was abducted along with others from her village farm. Her people never saw her again. Today, her descendants walk amongst us.

Writer and Director Yaw Asiyama (Tour of Duty, Me Marley & I) brought this powerful story to Stantonbury Theatre, Milton Keynes.

A Story of pain, tears and brutal punishment and yet, of wit, cunning survival and triumph; told in song, dance, poetry and rhythm. Discover the real source of the blues!

Starring Esther Niles (BBC’s Murdered by my boyfriend) Faith Omole, Johanne Hudson Lett and Lisa Lovell.

Yaw Asiyiyama Writer/ Director of a Slave's Story kindly gave us space to hold a small information stall in which a few of us could tell interested theatre goers of Amnesty's Work and our campaigns.
