East and West Midlands Amnesty conference for local groups "GLOBAL RIGHTS-LOCAL ACTION, Human Rights are OUR Rights?"", 11th January 2020 at Aston University, 930-5pm

The aim of the conference is to bring together activists from the Midlands area to explore:
- Area reaction to the Impact of the Movement (IoM) work at AIUK
- The creation, resourcing and directionof the IoM pilot to develop the IoM strategy; the pilots will be part of the AIUK Evaluation
- International Campaign Updates
- The Dissemination of Interesting Ideas and Practice across the Region
The program is coming together:
- IoM presentation
- Presentation on Football Welcomes involving Aston Villa and Leicester City
- Workshops with Country Coordinators
- Workshop on creative work with refugees and asylum seekers , jointly with City of Sanctuary
- Exhibition on Myanmar/Burma
Plus
- Action for Ali Aarrass
Local groups will be invited to bring reps from local partner organisations you work with and neighbouring Amnesty school and university groups.
There will be a £5 charge to help cover the cost of refreshments.
