Upcoming events

London-wide Torture Exhibition – Petros has been helping to organise this and the HRAC has been booked for two weeks from Monday 17 February for it to take place. There will be an event on Thursday 20 February with speakers provided by the IS, but Petros is confirming who they are.

Stand Up Women will be on Saturday 8 March from 7pm at The Bedford in Balham. Line up includes Sarah Pascoe and Lara King (compere). Tickets are £10 in advance (£13 on the door). Follow on Twitter @StandUpWomenAI or on Facebook: AIUK Stand Up Women

The artwork outside York House in Twickenham commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was vandalised last summer, but Richmond & Twickenham group have helped to pay for some of the repairs. They are hoping to hold a reopening ceremony in due course.

London Conference

The London Conference has been postponed until 4 October, though the themes (gender equality, LGBTI rights, HIV/AIDS and maternal health) will be the same. We need an official list of volunteers to form the conference organisation team. Please contact Roger if you would like to help, especially if you can commit to regular monthly meetings with him and Farshid Talanghani.

Art Exhibition (All Ways: Always)

This free exhibition is still going ahead from 23 January to 1 February, open 10am-9pm everyday except Sunday (12-5pm). The opening night on 22 January is invitation only due to limited space. Please see the RichMix website (but note the incorrect starting date on there).

Amplify London
