About this group

A few of us continuing our campaign against the death penalty

The Leicester local group of Amnesty International aims to raise the profile of human rights in Britain's most multicultural city.

We reckon that a group of people working together can achieve more than theycould have done just on their own. To raise the profile of human rights we havetaken part in the 'Summer Sundae' and Comedy Festivals, plus Make Poverty History and Pride events.

We have a long standing interest in protecting human rights for all the peoplesof Israel and the Occupied Territories. We also work on issues associated withthe Stop Violence Against Women campaign.

You are welcome to come along to our group meetings which take place on the third Thursday of each month at the The Red Tent, 8 Pocklinton's Walk, Leicester from 7:30pm-9:00pm.
