This Sunday! Celebrating Sanctuary

Lambeth Amnesty are once again holding a stall at the festival which takes place on Sunday 15th June in Bernie Spain Gardens on the South Bank (by the Oxo Tower).

The Celebrating Sanctuary festival is an annual event which heralds the start of Refugee Week in the UK. It does a huge amount to promote the key objectives of Refugee Week by helping to counter negative opinions about refugees and educate the general public about the contribution that refugee communities make to life in the UK. There will be new musical collaborations, performance art, family fun, workshops and much more! For more details see

You are welcome to drop by during the day to say hello and find out more about the group - we'll be asking people to take part in actions relating to Amnesty's Stop Torture campaign.

Address: Bernie Spain Gardens, Upper Ground, South Bank, London SE1 9PH (adjacent to Oxo Tower Wharf)

Time: 2pm - 6pm
