Carol singing and Write for Rights - Tuesday 12 December
Please join us on Tuesday 12th December for some Christmas carol singing at Brixton tube station to raise money for Amnesty. We'll be there from 5pm-7pm and you are welcome to come at any time for ten minutes or two hours. You do not need to know how to sing! Just wrap up warm and everything else (collection buckets, hymn sheets etc) will be provided. We'll be at the top of the escalators so you can't miss us.
Last year we raised over £800 in two hours so let’s try and beat that this year.
Straight after the carol singing we’re heading to the Dogstar (which is 5 minutes from the tube) for Write for Rights. Every year this campaign is run over November and December and it involves writing messages of support to people around the world who have suffered injustice, and show that we support their campaigns for justice. This campaign works and it's so easy to do. Everything you need for Write for Rights will be provided so just turn up on the night (possibly with a bit of change for our postage costs).
We’ll be at the Dogstar from 7pm – 9pm(ish).
Here are our meeting dates for 2018 so far (all 7.30pm-9pm at the Quaker Meeting House):
